Who can become a full member?

Every water sommelier who has completed a sound training with a theoretical and practical examination may become a full member. The examination shall at least cover the subjects of “theory of waters”, “sensory of waters”, “marketing & consulting in beverage trade”, as well as “marketing & consulting in catering and gastronomy”. More information can be found here: Training

As part of your membership, you will receive the WSU-internal newsletter 4 times a year with the latest news from the association, appointment announcements and everything you need to know about mineral water. Once a year, an association meeting and the Annual General Meeting is combined with “MINERAL WATER CELEBRATION DAY”. This is a training seminar for mineral water connoisseurs and all those who want to become one! In addition, we offer ongoing seminars throughout the year on a wide range of topics related to mineral water and beverages in general. Furthermore, access is available to our online “Water Sommelier Search”, where you can include your personal profile (photograph and text) free of charge.

Annual membership fee is currently 60 Euros.

We hope we were able to persuade you to join the Association! We welcome all new members!

If you are interested, simply send us an e-mail. We will then discuss everything else with you personally.

Every sustaining member is valued!

Who can become a sustaining member?

Ultimately, the Water Sommelier Union, as a partner in the mineral and curative waters industry, also needs support. For this reason, the WSU has enshrined in its statutes the opportunity for potential sponsors to become WSU sustaining members, with mineral spring operators being the main target group. By agreeing a sustaining membership in the WSU, a company shows its support for the goals of the Wassersommelier Union e.V. from an ideal as well as a financial perspective. In return, membership also offers the company numerous advantages. Sustaining members can actively shape the Association’s goals and participate in all annual meetings and training events. A presentation of the company at these events as well as on the WSU website is a matter of course. In addition, the mineral and curative waters of our sustaining members are given preference at all WSU events, including trade fair presentations. Sustaining members shall have a right to vote at the annual general meeting.

Annual membership fee for sustaining members according to our statutes is currently at least 240 Euros.

We hope we were able to persuade you to join the Association! We welcome all new sustaining members!

If you are interested, simply send us an e-mail. We will then discuss everything else with you personally.
