2022: 11 years Water Sommelier Union!
On October 7th, 2022, the “Mineral Water Day”, the mineral water industry drew attention to the special values and high quality of mineral water with various campaigns and events throughout Germany. The motto: “111 years of original purity and protected quality”.
Exactly 100 years younger is the Wassersommelier Union e.V., the internationally active association of certified water sommeliers, which met on the same weekend for its 11th anniversary event. Of course, with an unrestricted focus on natural mineral water!
Around 50 participants from 13 different countries (as far away as India, Singapore, Taiwan and the USA) met in the new building of Doemens Akademie GmbH in Munich-Graefelfing to celebrate the importance and quality of natural mineral water. The mineral, curative and spring waters of the mineral water sustaining members of the association were tasted in detail and finally subjected to a blind tasting as part of a competition. The tastings were accompanied by interesting (mineral) water lectures.
